You may recognize that man in the middle of us. You should, after all he is the creator of the best home fitness program in the world, p90x. In case you’ve been living under a rock that man is Tony Horton, and its him, along with Beachbody that we give a huge amount of due credit for out weight loss transformations.

Back in September for Lyndsey’s birthday we had the opportunity to travel to Tony’s home town for his fitness seminar and live workout, it was a once in a life time (hopefully that statement is wrong) thing and every second of it was wonderful.

It started off with tribute to Tony and he received a key to the town, following that he presented his “11 laws of fitness” which in its self was worth the trip. Tony is funny, knowledgeable able and informing. He makes you want to get right out of your seat and go do something healthy.  If you get a chance, make sure to check out Tony’s seminar whether it be in person or on YouTube.

Following the assembly, we all made our way to the gym where he would lead us in an hour long workout. Now, I don’t know if you’ve ever worked out with 300 people before but the energy in the room was amazing. I can’t think of a time where we pushed ourselves as hard, and at the end of it we were both spent. I’m not sure we could have worked harder if we wanted to.

After the workout we were all given the chance to get our pictures taken with Mr. Horton. We had brought along a picture of Lyndsey when she weighted over 315 pounds to show him. (A picture that would later help land her on an episode of the Dr. Oz show) We expected him to look at it, congratulate her and move on. Not the case, he took a look at the photo, then up at her and said “this was you? You’re so pretty though” he said to her, right before he got the attention of the entire gym and announced  to everyone that she had lost 150 pounds, followed by cheers from the entire place.

It was a great feeling, knowing that the hard work we put in was noticed by the man that helped us get started.
